Why We Started Kindlewood
Kindlewood started from a real frustration. Too many tutoring services offer generic programs delivered by tutors who, while well-meaning, do not have the academic results to truly help students improve.
We built Kindlewood on a simple belief. A tutor who genuinely excelled in the exams your child is preparing for gets better results. Add lessons built around that specific student and the results follow.
The name Kindlewood has two ideas. Kindle means to spark something. Wood is the foundation. Together they describe what we do. We spark something in students and give them a solid base to build on.
What We Look for in a Tutor
We recruit top academic achievers in Victoria and train them to teach.
Top 3% of the State
Every Kindlewood tutor achieved an ATAR of 97 or above. That puts them in the top 3% of all VCE students in Victoria. They have been through the same exams your child is facing.
Raw 40+ Subject Scores
Our VCE tutors hold a raw study score of 40 or above in every subject they teach. No exceptions. A Methods tutor has raw 40+ in Methods. An English tutor has raw 40+ in English.
Carefully Vetted, WWCC Checked & Trained
Academic results are just the start. Every tutor holds a current Working With Children Check and goes through our training to build strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
Strong Communication with Families
We keep you informed. After lessons, tutors send progress updates and flag areas that need extra work. You always know how your child is going.
